A new year, a new start

First of all, we wanted to wish all of our readers and followers a very Happy New Year. It feels as though it's quite uncomfortable to say that this year, but we do wish everyone much calm, peace, happiness and good health for a more positive 2021.

The Infinity team have rested well over the Christmas holidays and we are mostly now easing ourselves into.....Home-schooling and getting ourselves ready for the year ahead. We have had a good pause over Christmas and we are really pleased to bring you news of some really exciting update for the first quarter of 2021!

Bloom - New Parent Support 2021 - revamped

Back in October 2020 we re-started our Bloom parent support group and we were so pleased to be able to offer face-2-face sessions as a support group, in line with government guidance. We worked at two new locations in East Surrey; the Woodhatch Community Centre and the Regents Hall Horley in Horley. The team at Reigate and Banstead council have welcomed us with open arms (distanced!) and we are really grateful. We have met over 35 mums now in the 7 weeks of sessions and we have received lovely feedback.

Sadly, due to new lockdown measures, we had taken the decision to pause face-2-face sessions until February 2021, which we have now extended to March 2021, but we are very much still here! Every Tuesday and Friday you can join one of our Zoom classes and hear from Laura, Kate or one of our guests for the week. You can book your sessions here.

Bloom - First time parent course - Coming March 2021

In conjunction with a number of local groups and services, we are delighted to offer you Bloom-First time parent support classes. These are classes aimed at parents who have had their baby and they are less than 6 months old. They will focus on emotional support, wellness, becoming a parent and of course cover some of the basics of living with a small baby for the first time. We are so proud of these courses and we really hope that you will love them too. We will soon be announcing more information in February 2021!

The Nappy Library returns - sponsored by The Nappy Workshop

Following a pause to our Nappy Library in March 2020, we are delighted that we can now bring back this service and make it as safe as possible for our hirers and volunteers. The new service will be run in collaboration with Danielle from The Nappy Workshop and we are so excited to work together again. Danielle is so passionate about reusable nappies and wipes and we have taken on a new volunteer, Amy, who will be supporting Danielle and Infinity. We can't wait to launch! We will have three kits on offer, two birth to potty kits (10-35lbs) and one new-born (7-15lbs). You can find out more over on our new Nappy Workshop hub.

The cost of the service for a two week hire is £10 donation. All funds raised go directly towards the Nappy Library and we are really excited about this new eco-friendly service. Our kits come with a fitting guide, washing guide and information about the kits themselves. We have full terms and conditions as part of our payment service.

Projects for 2021

This year, is a really big year for us, we are taking it slowly but we are seeking new premises from the Spring and we are working on a big project which we hope will really make a big impact on people's lives and experiences in East Surrey in 2021. We are working with lots of other organisations to do that and we are very very excited about what we can hopefully achieve.

That's it for now, but we hope you've enjoyed the update.

If you would like to be involved with any of our current or future projects then do get in contact with us at infinityspacetogrow@gmail.com and let us know how you might want to be involved.

As always a big thank you to all of our followers, supporters and of course to our volunteers who literally make everything come together! Thank you, it's been a really tough 12 months, but we are so nearly there and there are great great things for us all ahead in 2021.

Kate & Laura x
